    Eth2.0 provides an enshrined scaleable layer 1 plus any number of layer 2 machines. Layer 2 execution engines can use eth2.0 data layer in a similar way to polkadot parachains. IMO, eth2.0 is more "practical" because you get the best of both worlds.
